India's golden triangle is a tourist circuit which connects the national capital Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The Golden Triangle is so called because of the triangular shape formed by the locations of New Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan on a map. The trips usually start in Delhi moving south to the site of Taj Mahal at Agra, then west, to the desert landscapes of Rajasthan. It is normally possible to do the trip by coach or private journey through most tour operators. The Golden Triangle is now a well traveled route providing a good spectrum of the country's different landscapes. The circuit is about 720 km by road. Each leg is about 4 to 6 hours of drive. The Shatabdi express train also connects Delhi with Agra and Jaipur.

Delhi

Delhi, The political capital of India, Delhi, makes up one of the cornerstones of the golden triangle in the country's north. Finding its genesis in the great Indian epic the Mahabharata, as Indraprastha, Capital of the Pandava princes, today the city has transformed itself into a new incarnation. Reflecting the many colors and flavors of India's eclectic composition, contemporary Delhi is one where you will be inspired, amazed, fascinated and impressed at every corner. The India Gate, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Jantar-Mantar, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Akshardham Temple, Bahai Temple and many more are worth seeing in Delhi. The city is the perfect mix of the old and the new. From the colonial pillars of Connaught Place to the lanes of Chandni Chowk and the malls of South Extension, you will find discover a whole range of experiences here. Delhi is also a paradise for shopping, eating and sight-seeing.

Agra

Agra is a medieval city on the banks of Yamuna River was founded by Sultan Sikandar Lodi in 1956. It achieved fame as the capital of the Mughal emperors from 1526 to 1658 and remains a major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Jaipur

Jaipur, the picturesque capital of Rajasthan also known as the Pink city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Sing II. It was first planned city in India, beautifully laid out gardens and parks, attractive monuments and marvelous heritage hotels, which were once the residence of Maharajas, are worthy of admiration. Visit to Amber fort, City Palace, Jantar-Mantar, Hawa Mahal, the ambling camels and cheerful people in multi-hued costumes will make your trip to the pink city a memorable one.

Day 1 Delhi: Arrival and City Tour

Get ready to experience the heritage and splendor of Delhi. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our agent’s representative when on this Golden Traingle tour package. Transfer to the hotel and check in, relax and freshen up before leaving for a city tour, as part of your Golden Traingle package. Today cover various attractions of Delhi such as Qutub Minar, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, India Gate, and Lotus Temple. Choose to explore the restaurant of the hotel, or other famous eateries of Delhi. Return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2 Agra: Arrival and tour of Taj Mahal ( 240 km 5 hrs Drive)

After breakfast, you will leave for Agra, one of the most popular tourist destinations of India. It is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal, a marble mausoleum built in honor of Emperor Shahjahan’s late wife Queen Mumtaz Mahal. On arrival in Agra, check into the hotel and freshen up before leaving for a tour of the city, as per your Rajasthan tour itinerary. Today, visit Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb. Towards the evening, pay a visit to the world famous Taj Mahal, with the evening sun casting reflections of changing colors in the fountain. Return to the hotel for a restful night of sleep.

Day 3 Jaipur: Arrival and en-route visit to Fatehpur Sikri ( 240 km's 5 hrs Drive )

Get up early morning to witness the grandeur of Taj Mahal during sunrise, with the rising sun casting golden hues upon the marble. Return to the hotel for breakfast, after which you will embark on a journey to Jaipur. On the way stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a city built by Emperor Akbar during the 16th century. Visit one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid here. Continue your journey to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4 Jaipur: City tour and departure to Delhi (280 Km's 6 Hrs Drive)

After a hearty breakfast, leave for a day tour that will take you to myriad attractions of Jaipur, as per your Rajasthan travel package. First stop would be Amber Fort, built of exquisite marble and sandstone. Here, you will also visit the Maotha Lake, within the fort. Enjoy riding an elephant for a truly royal feel. Towards the afternoon, pay a visit to various other monuments of Jaipur such as Nahargarh Haveli, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar, Jal mahal. Wind up the last day of your Rajasthan tourism package, and drive over to Delhi for catching your flight back home.
